Since 2011, Bill Mackey has written papers and coordinated design studios at the School of Architecture, University of Arizona for the Drachman Institute. The papers have researched the relationships between housing and transportation as well as land use regulations and development. The studios investigated possibilities for two areas in Tucson – the Ronstadt Transit Center and the Broadway Boulevard corridor. Bill can proudly say one of the papers reduced parking requirements for “middle housing” in Tucson.
